Democratic socialism is a greatest impact, very representative of reformist trendin the contemporary world socialist movement. In recent years, the influence ofsocialist ideas of democracy is growing. There is the voice of some supports fordemocratic socialist reform in China. In face of this situation, we must unswervinglyadhere to the direction of socialism with Chinese characteristics; especially, we needto be clear the essential difference between democratic socialism and socialism withChinese characteristics, and then actively respond to the democratic socialism of thechallenge of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
