This article which is on the basis of Alfred Schmidt’s<The Concept of Nature in Marx>,elaborates Schmidt’s criticism and understanding to the orthodox Marxism and ponder the Schmidt’s criticism.This article summarized and generalize Schmidt’s understanding and analysis about Marx’s opinion on nature in the first,this part of the thought is the theoretical basis for Schmidt criticize the orthodox Marxism.In opinion of Schmidt, the intrinsic character of Marx’s materialism behaved in two aspect:the first is Non-ontological of materialism;the second is Society and Historical of Marx’s opinion on nature. In the second, this article seriously analyse Schmidt’s criticism for the orthodox Marxism including Engels’s the dialectics of nature and Lenin’s the theory of reflection.In the third, gave analysis and reflection to the right and wrong in the thought after summarized and generalize Schmidt’s opinion,in order to grasp Schmidt’s opinion and the essence of Marxism philosophy more precisely.In the last,did a simple explanation for the extending and theoretical value of Schmidt’s thought and theory according to the foregoing.To some extent, Schmidt discovered the deology that the orthodox Marxian didn’t find or ignored, substantially,his theeory has some points that was close to Marxism thought than those people who style themselves as the orthodox Marxian.But, it is undeniable that Schmidt’s comprehension to the Marxist historical materialism is still parochial,and there are some problems in the comprehensions. Schmidt’s understanding to Marxist thoughts,such as the indistinctly concept, the confusing logic,some contradictions in his theory. Denying the ontology, criticizing Engels’s the dialectics of nature and Lenin’s the theory of reflection are prominent.Making the new illuminating of Schmidt’s thinking about the essence characteristic of the materialistic philosophy of Karl Marx, analysing the basis of Schmidt’s ideology, explainning the criticization to Engels and Lenin roundly and making the correct evaluation.
