The Lack Of Social Responsibility For Migrant Workers And Its Countermeasures

Migrant workers, a special social group in the period of social transformation in China, have made outstanding contributions to economic construction in the process of economic structure adjustment and transformation, but they are increasingly becoming the marginal men of society. The enterprises lack social responsibility for them. There are a lot of worrying phenomenon. At the current situation, the enterprise lacks social responsibility for the migrant worker, which reflected in the following:wages, working hours, labor contacts, social insurance, occupational health and environmental safety, the lack of respect and the new generation of farmer worker can not realize himself. Based on the relevant research results at home and abroad, this paper makes a more comprehensive, in-depth discussion about the reasons why the enterprise lacks social responsibility for the migrant worker and finds that the causes of the missing are outside the enterprise, the designing of legal system and insurance system are defective and unreasonable, and protectionism exists in local, governments; internally, ethic is shorted in the professional field, the business philosophy is wrong, the recognition is Jacked to.the migrant workers, the role of the trade.union is very small, the entrepreneur lacks social responsibility and their own factors of migrant workers and so on, which become the discordant voices of contemporary of Chinese society. From an empirical point of view, the author researched and recommended to promote the enterprise to undertake social responsibility and to accelerate economic development, the legal system and responsibility system construction; at the same time, to increase government’s efforts on control, to strengthen the supervision of the media, to enhance the comprehensive quality of the migrant worker and the managers self-discipline in the enterprise.
