On The Contemporary Meaning Of The Theory Of Marxism Happiness

Human’s happiness is the important subject of the philosophy of Karl Marx. Itis also the forever subject of the human being. In the development of the westernphilosophy, many philologists expressed their own opinion about happiness. Thereare two main academic schools: theory of rational happiness and theory ofemotional well-being. On the basis of criticizing these two academic schools,Marx created his own theory of happiness. Marx opposed the absolutely objectivehappiness; he advocates that we should unify the subjective happiness andobjective. In the opinion of Marx, we should think happiness at a practicalperspective. Only in the labor process, human can achieve the fusion of human andthe nature, and achieve the full and free development of human being.Although the word “live hood” did not appear in the Marx’s writings, butwhat he calls "human happiness", have the same meaning with "livelihood" in theChinese cultural context. The theory of People’s livelihood happiness is theproduction of the practice of theory of Marx happiness in China. The explainingand promoting the theory of people’s livelihood, is not only the implement ofMarxist, but also has great meaning to the practice of china. In the appearance, theissue of people’s live hood is just the problem of shortage of public goods andpublic service. But behind the appearance, it reflects the problem of respecting ofpeople’s value and the realization of people’s right and benefit. In a word, we canknow that whether people have shared the profit of the economic development andfairness. The theory of People’s livelihood with the Chinese characteristicsincludes the following aspects: the first one, we should improve people’s live hoodat the people-oriented. The second, we should promote the fairness and justice inthe way of sharing the success and development to people. The third, we shouldprotect the live environment and insist the strategy of sustainable development.Easterlin paradox shows that the income and happiness is not proportional. In viewof this, paper put forward that we should meet the five requirements of people toimplement the people’s livelihood. In order to fulfill the people’s live hood, weneed to establish a "people-oriented" idea, and make a clear cognition that “humandevelopment is the fundamental purpose of social development". At the same time,we should continue to develop the economy in order to consolidate the basis ofpeople’s livelihood. On this basis, we should promote the employment and the equalization of public services actively under the principle of the idea of "thefruits of development shared by the people”.
