This paper studies the changes in the U.S. measures involving in theDiaoyu Islands dispute, aiming to make clear:why did changes take placein the U.S. measures toward the dispute?This paper proposes the argument according to Tompson′PowerTrasition Theory Model:The growth of China′power and the U.S.increasing level of perception of China threat are the causes of changes inthe U.S.measures involving the Diaoyu Islands dispute. Then,the authorbegins to testify the argument.First, this paper mainly deals with ahistorical investigation of how the Islands dispute arose and evolved,making clear how the U.S.related to the Diaoyu Islands dispute. After that,the author studies the formation and changes in the U.S. measures. Finally,this paper analyzes and testifies the causes of changes in the U.S.involvement measures and briefly analyzes the impacts of these changes. |
