As an emerging industry in the21st century, cultural industry has affactedChina’s daily life and the country’s cultural development process with irresistableforce and plays an important role in promoting the growth of GDP, adjusting theconomic structure, structure of production and advancing the socialism cultural andideological progress. Hence, it is of great significance pushing forward the culturalindustry to be the pillar industry of China’s economy and positioning clearly thegovernment in the process in order to promote the healthy development of China’scultural and economic development and improve the country’s internationalcompetitiveness.This paper studies culture and its economic value with an economic andindustrial angle based on the environment of China’s adjustment of economic tructure.The paper is mainly about the background and significance, the research status athome and abroad, contents and methology; the experience and role of developedcountries like the U.S., Great Britain, France, Japan and South Korea on thedevelopment of industrialization of culture; basic theories and conceptions of culturalindustry, cultural industry classification and the basic features, as well as elementsand contradictions in influencing the development of cultural industry; thedevelopment, current situation, and problems of China’s cultural industry; at last, thepositioning design principles and evaluation criteria on cultural industry developmentproposed by Chinese government, plus the positioning design posed from the fields oflegislation, policy, system, personnel, finance, cultural safety and science. |
