China And South Korea Investment Disputes Settlement Mechanism Research

As two important economic entities in Asia, China and Korea have developedcloser economic ties between each other under the economic globalization andintegration of regional economy, especially in the domain of investment. China isKorea’s second largest investing target and China’s investment quantity is increasinggradually with the impetus of “going out” strategy. Therefore, it is predictable that therewill be larger development space in future investment between two countries. However,investment disputes emerge at the same time which has exerted serious restriction onthe future development and cooperation of two countries. Thus, a prompt, effective,equal and transparent national investment dispute settlement mechanism is of greatsignificance and in urgent need. Based on the existing condition of trade and investmentbetween China and Korea, this paper puts forward the detailed conception about thefuture investment dispute settlement mechanism through comparing important nationalinvestment dispute settlement mechanism and analyzing advantages and disadvantagesof each mechanism.
