In the New Culture Movement, Li Dazhao Chen Duxiu and other representativesof the early Chinese communists against the thought of feudal autocracy, positivepublicity bourgeois democratic ideas. But with the outbreak of the First World Warand the victory of the October Revolution in Russia, they gradually doubt and criticizethe bourgeois democracy, and started to pay attention to the proletarian revolution inRussia, study and research the Marxism-Leninism, and finally ultimately agreed withthe theory of proletariat dictatorship, the transition from bourgeois democracy to theproletariat dictatorship. The reasons for this change are: the outbreak of the RussianOctober Revolution, the support of the Communist International and Russian; thepublication of the books which translation and study of Marxism, the deepunderstanding of the Marxist thought of proletariat dictatorship; awareness of theshortcomings of capitalism; the practical experiences of other classes save the nation.The Chinese communists accept the theory of proletariat dictatorship, as a target,set up the Communist Party of China, organized the workers’ movement and theproletarian revolution movement. More realistic and in-depth understanding ofChina’s national conditions, as well as a clearer understanding of the objects and themain force of the Chinese revolution, distinguish the enemies and friends at this stage,combined with the practical problems of the Chinese revolution, proposed such as"the political establishment of the dictatorship of the workers and peasants","democratic dictatorship of the peasantry, the petty bourgeoisie", the" revolutionarydemocratic dictatorship ","workers’ and peasants’ democratic dictatorship", and " allrevolutionary classes’ dictatorship ","the people’s democratic dictatorship "and otherthoughts. The thought of workers’ and peasants’ democratic dictatorship reach aconsensus at the time, the Chinese Soviet Republic was established in1931and thethought applied for the first time. This paper mainly discusses the problem from the proletariat dictatorship to the workers’ and peasants’ democratic dictatorship.Chinese communists’ ideological exploration,has experienced from the thoughtof bourgeois democracy,the theory of proletariat dictatorship, the thought of workerspeasants and bourgeoisie democratic dictatorship, the thought of worker-peasantdemocratic dictatorship. Their exploration is in constant development; it is cautiousand conforms to the Chinese reality. In this process, they understand the thoughts ofdemocracy and dictatorship deeply, not only pay attention to the forms of democracy,but also pay more attention to the content and the nature of democracy.
