The orchestra is a form of a large instrumental ensemble, it’s performancerequires all the sections to work together especially on the basis of intonationand rhythm. As a orchestral flute player, the both elements are particularlyimportant.The research consists of three chapters, the introduction elaborates theobjective and significance of the research. Chapter one describes thedevelopment of the flute and the orchestra and explains the role of flute in theorchestra. The rest of chapters discusses the issues of intonation and rhythm inthe aspects of flute orchestral playing and daily practice.
