Land Reform Since The Zhangzhuang Circulation Of Farm Tools

The research articles about Chinese farm tools have been growing in recent thirty years and have made great progress. Most of them were focused on the tools category and technical innovation, few people limit farm tools in a certain historical period and correlate them with the users and agricultural policies at that time to investigate its functionality and ownership.Zhangzhuang is a common village located in Shangdang District, Shanxi Province, with a population of2900people. I traveled to Zhangzhuang Village8times from Aug.2011to Oct.2012to conduct a lot of fieldwork. As a research project, my focus is the changes on social function of Zhangzhuang farm tools since the earliest days of our founding and the changes in the relationship between national policies and the characters related to these objects. The article starts with the investigation of using of Zhangzhuang farm tools, discusses government, farmers, Wang Jinhong and American Han Ding to band together for common political dream and separate after disillusionment, discusses the ideology under political leading from highly concentration to separation from the function of farm tools as the political remnants, and to be transformed to new narrative function. Thereinto, many historical sights interweave together, include Utopian dream of communism, personal worship of Mao Zedong, collective unconsciousness of farmers and Wang Jinhong, Wang Jinhong acting as "Model Tool", division, loss and reconstruction of political "object". We will dig deeper for details, think and analysis for the ideology on the basis of trying to close to true history.
