Judging from the law of historical development, the changing times and social development of the arts has a huge impact. Traditional Chinese painting is part of the long river of Chinese history culture, traditional Chinese painting in the long history of five thousand years of continuous experience with inheritance, the process of change and development, and meticulous color as an important part of Chinese painting, also escaped not the history of coerced still the interpretation of the rise and fall of journey. In this paper, by analyzing ancient reference today to discuss the development of the meticulous re-color portraits in different times in the past, the analysis of the initial rise of the prosperity of the Tang and Song dynasties, the Ming and Qing fading reason in the moment diverse social and cultural environment and global Why brushwork figure usher in a new period of prosperity under the background of, and discussed the opportunities and challenges faced in this process of revival and prosperity. This article is divided into three parts, the first part mainly on the historical development of the brushwork figure, combined with the analysis of the historical background and social circumstances, to reveal the reason of the rise and fall.
