The More Modern Vietnamese Han Word Study

This dissertation is completed principally based on the achievements of predecessors, incombination with the writer’s research and comparison between Han Viet polysyllable and itscounterpart in Chinese. The thesis is expected to comprehensively depict Han Viet in modernVietnamese, in order to facilitate Han Viet researching as well as the application of Han Viet inteaching. Besides the expression of attitude, abstract, appendix, table of content, the thesis isdivided into4chapters.Chapter1: Introducing the reason for choosing the topic, subject targeting and method ofapproaching.Chapter2: Comparing and researching Han Viet and its counterpart in Chinese. Based onthe origin of borrowing words, Han Viet in modern Vietnamese can be divided into4categories:Chinese Han Viet, Japanese Han Viet, Vietnamized Han Viet and Han Viet created byVietnamese. A new perspective of thinking about Han Viet is also expected in this chapter.Chapter3: Elaborating factors that form Han Viet in modern Vietnamese from the anglesof language and sociological language.Chapter4: Summarizing and self-estimating the work.
