Based on the teaching syllabus, teaching materials and the inter-language corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, progressive sentence here is divided into three categories. And there’re22sentence types in total.Through the analysis of the frequency of use and correction of progressive sentences which are from the inter-language corpus of Beijing Language and Culture University, it’s found that foreign students use the typical progressive sentence much more than the other two. And the frequency of correction of the other two categories is much lower than the typical progressive sentence, which indicates that it’s not easy to master them. And this is precisely why they’re used infrequently. From different levels, the acquisition order of progressive sentence has uniformity. According to the above study, using the correct use of relative frequency method, we established the acquisition order of progressive sentence and its22types. Their acquisition order can be described as follows: A1>A3>A6>A12>A13>A2>A5>A9>A8>A4>A1>A14>A7>A10(typical progressive sentence); B3>B1>B5>B2> B4(transmitting progressive sentence); C1>C2>C3(forced progressive sentence).Among the influential factors of the acquisition order, the learners’ gender has no obvious influence on the acquisition order of progressive sentence, while the students’ native language background plays a certain role in it. The comparison of students whose mother tongues are Korean and English further proved that native languages only have a certain influence on the acquisition.According to the investigation of the teaching syllabus and teaching materials, the arrangement of teaching order of the progressive sentences is reconstructed as follows: elementary (A1, A2, the A3, A5, A6, A12and A13), intermediate (A4, A8, A9, A11, B1, B3) and senior (A7, A10, A14, B2, B4, B5, C1, C3, C2).
