"left Right X1 X2" Format Of Research From Multiple Perspectives

“左X1右X2”structure is fairly common in contemporary Chinese language, but the research on which is still not in-depth.This structure is comprehensively studied in the perspective of the three-dimensional grammar, supported by theories on Cognitive and Construction Grammar etc. This article has made a systematic inspection of the grammatical meaning and syntax features of the“左X1右X2"structure. Apart from the introduction and conclusion, this paper is composed of five chapters.In the first and second chapters, we based on the word-class of X to describe inner construction, syntactic function and grammatical meaning of“左V1右V2”,“左N1右N2".We discussed the relationship between V1and V2, N1and N2, and the selective restriction to N and V.Then we generalized the meaning and syntactic function.According to [±direction],we divided the grammatical meaning of“左V1右V2" structure into "repetition" and "continuance".And the grammatical meaning of“左N1右N2”structure is" all around the N"and"close relationship".In the third and fourth chapters,we based on the phrase type of X to describe inner construction, syntactic function and grammatical meaning of“左—L1右—L2”,“左V不C右V不C”,“左不是右不是”And the characteristic or quality of the whole structure is "increment".In the fifth chapter, by the means of comparison, this thesis compared the“左X1右X2”Structure with“东X1西X2”Structure and“前X1后X2”structure to explore the position and particularity of“左X1右X2”in the " embedding structure".
