The thesis based on the<Manjusri Debating with Vimalakirti> of the South Wall of Cave6as our object of research, making an assay of its story, layout of picture and cultural meaning, and then concluding the characteristic form the fact of its styling feature, the cause of formation of color and the representation of image. On the other hand, the thesis will also make a comparison between the<Manjusri Debating with Vimalakirti> of the South Wall of Cave6with the same subject of Cave103of Dunhuang Grottoes in Glorious Age of Tang Dynasty, generalizing the modeling feature and the techniques and language of color of the fine arts in The Northern Wei Dynasty and the edification for the Woodblock Printing to myself.
