The Study On Belief Of Early Manjusri In Ancient Abroad

Manjusri is the most prestigious Bodhisattva in extramarital Mahayana Buddhism of early time,also one of the four famous Chinese Buddhism Bodhisattva.In the Chinese translation of the Buddhist sutras,Manjusri has three main translations,namely the Ru-shou,Manjusri,Manjushirinmagtaal on behalf of the translation of "Dharmaraksa","Kumarajiva" and Xuan Zang.The problems involved in the research of Manjusri belief in the domestic study are mainly focus on the context of the study of the Chinese Manjusri belief,taking Manjusri and Kegon,Manjusri and Wutai Mountain,Manjusri and Tibetan Buddhism,Manjusri and Chinese culture,Manjusri statues and frescoes,Manjusri sutra and thought as the focus of attention,which has formed and accumulated a fruitful research achievements.Compared with the research of the Chinese Manjusri belief,the research of the ancient extramarital civilization are very weak,such as the concern of the English academics on the origin of the Manjusri belief,the Japanese scholars’ attention on the relationship between the early Manjusri and the Mahayana Buddhism,and the concern of the extramarital Manjusri belief as source to be transmitted into China,the issues involved the above are more dispersed and lack systematic study in depth.Based on the rich translations of the Manjusri-related Chinese documents,combining with other data basis and results reference,this dissertation systematically explored the extramarital Manjusri’s belief of the ancient time about one-four century A.D.,tried to grasp its advance in the time domain,elaborated the evolution of the connotation system and the external form of the early Manjusri belief and its relationship with Mahayana Buddhism.The purpose of this dissertation is to elucidate the system,form and development process of extramarital Manjusri belief of ancient tim.On the proposes and demonstration of the question,this dissertation tried to answer questions in three aspects,what is Manjusri Bodhisattva,what is the extramarital Manjusri belief system of the early period,what is the meaning of the early Manjusri belief to Mahayana Buddhism.According to the needing of propose and demonstration of basic problems,this paper used the development of the form of faith and promotion of the Buddhism doctrine logic as the main line to study the development of Manjusri belief from three phase which respectively are initially birth,the core of the early Bodhisattva belief of Mahayana Buddhism,the further extension and development.the full text is divided into six parts to discuss,The first part is to summarize the existing research results and show the intention of this paper.The second part is to response the limited research results of the origin of the Manjusri belief in the preface and to form a summary,to conduct a tentative study about the birth of Manjusri belief with the rise of time as the focus core,to emphatically sore out and study the Manjusri image shaped in the early related sutras.The third part is to analyze the inner basis of the establishment of the Manjusria and to expound the inner system which was composed by the wisdom of the connotation,practice system,divinity system expressed by Manjusria Bodhisattva.The fourth part is to assort and elaborate the external manifestation of Manjusri belief based on the divine inspiration from the perspective of the relationship between the objects and believers of faith.The fifth part is to analyze and expound the promote function of Manjusri belief on the creation and development of Mahayana Buddhism system.The sixth part is to explore and elaborate the extension and expansion of Manjusri belief and its promotion to the Mahayana Buddhism.
