As our country’s earliest political and historical compilation Shangshu is very important in the study of culture and history. There are more than two thousand years of the research on Shangshu, and various forms of comments emerged, but it got more and more complicated, which was difficult to understand as usual.Zhou Bingjun developed his own way to explain Shangshu from adopting other’s good ideas, he wrote Shangshu Yijie, because of which Mr. Yang Shuda commend almost everyone can read the difficult Shangshu.Zhou Bingjun comprehensively stated Shangshu from different aspects, like lexical, phrases, rhetoric, etc, simply but in deep meaning.It set a good example in the research of Shangshu. Depending on its scientificalness and conciseness Shangshu Yijie became the masterpiece of Shangshu research. Shangshu Yingjie represents Mr. Zhou’s highest achievement in Shangshu research, it is the specific expression of Mr. Zhou’s research spirit and achievement as well.The thesis is divided into four chapters except the introduction and the conclusion. Mr. Zhou explained Shangshu by the exegesis, the grammar, the historical and the article. This paper tries to analyze the characteristics of the exegesis deeply and find the scholastic attitude, which can provide new reference for the research of Shangshu.The first chapter is "checking by the exegesis ".Through the success of ascertaining words, annotating consecutive words and proving new explanations, we know Mr. Zhou annotated Shangshu through the exegesis.The second chapter is "judging by the grammar". On the basis of the achievements through the research of morphology and syntax law, we know Mr. Zhou annotated Shangshu through the grammar.The third chapter is "ascertaining by the historical facts". On the basis of the achievements through the research of the ancient folk-custom and etiquette, we know Mr. Zhou annotated Shangshu through the historical facts.The fourth chapter is "appreciating by the article ". According to the context, the common diction and the article tone to discriminate the special meaning, the sentence delimiter and the structure of an article, we know Mr. Zhou annotated Shangshu through the article.
