Wang Tingne Studies Three Questions

Wang Tingne is an important writer and publisher of Ming Dynasty in Anhui province. Today, whether we talk about opera or printmaking in the Ming Dynasty, he is a role can’t be ignored. In recent years, with the deepening of drama study, Wang Tingne gets more and more of the concern of academics, and research has gradually increased. But objectively speaking, research about him is not mature enough, there is still some missing, such as research appearing unbalanced situation, researchers more concerned about his "Shihouji", while ignoring the other works; Some current controversial issues haven’t been given a good solution and so on. Therefore, research about Wang Tingne still remains scholars to do more in-depth and detailed discussion. In view of this, this paper attempts to research in three aspects, they are life, writings and publishing. Especially focus on the current controversial issues. Based on the analysis and comparison, and further to summarize some relatively reasonable conclusions. At the same time, this paper will introduce the writings and printings of Wang Tingne more clearly, in order to make people have a more comprehensive grasp of him.Article is divided into three main parts:the first chapter,"Research Of Wang Tingne’s Life". Section one,"Miscellaneous Research Of His Life ", will complete to research his origin, birth and death, and alias, then make an specific case of conclusions. Section two,"Temperament Overview". Based analysising Zhou Hui’s and Xu Shuofang’s opinions, proved by Wang Tingne’s writings and inscriptions of his friends. His nature can be grouped into the following three points:love chess and seclusion; charity and wide range of friends; talented and humorous.Chapter II,"Researching Of His Writings". Section one,"Researching Of Doubt Writings ". In a lot of reading notes, prefaces, and other documents, and added some new material timely, focused on solving:The writer of "Gaoshiji" and "Tongshengji’" is Wangtingne; Chen Dasheng is the writer of "Taipingleshi"; Wang Tingne has written "Zhongyuji" but "Yumingtang criticized zhongyuji" isn’t his creation; Wang Tingne has written "Rewrite tianshuji"("Qiguoji") but not "Tianshuji"; The writing process of "Shihouji" and "Qingmeiji". And summarized as follows:Melodrama:seventeen total, five of them are deposit, and the remainder twelve are lost. Drama:eight in total, Except "Gunglingyue", the other are all lost. Section two,"Descriptive Catalogue Of Writings" This part includes three aspects:Melodrama, Drama and others. Focus on introducing their recording, version and lost memory. Meanwhile, in the "Others" column, we added some Wang Tingne’s writings, which were not been noticed by scholars for a long time.Chapter III,"Research Of His Publishing". Section one,"Introduction Of His Publishing". It focus on introduce the publishing of Huancuitang, include Wang Tingne’s writings and the others’. Their recording and version is the focus. Section two,"Researching Of Huancuitang". Through literature research, to determine that Wang Tingne have built two Huancuitang, one was in Huizhou Xiuning, and the other was in Nanjing.
