The concept of space is one of the most basic concepts in the cognition system. There are links between the concept of space and other abstract concepts; therefore, the spatial expressions have more than one meaning. In particular, the front, back s-patial expressions are often used to express temporal meanings, so the meanings of the front, back expressions are more complicated.Chinese front, back spatial expressions "qian(前),hou(后)”and Korean front, back spatial expressions"(?),(?),(?),(?)"can take spatial meanings, sequential meanings, temporal meanings and other more abstract meanings. This paper compares the complicated meanings of "qian(前)”and "(?),(?)","hou(后)”and "(?),(?)" to explore their similarities and differences. When using front, spatial expressions to express temporal meanings, the Chinese adopt the intrinsic perspective while the Korean take both the intrinsic perspective and the deictic perspective.
