Modern society disenchantedly destroys the previous deiform principles and turn to the secular doctrine of money as the first priority. People are busy with the immediate interest rather than the happiness of afterlife. Modernity is a process of secularization. Aesthetic culture itself is a sign of the history of social life. Thus it is a social necessity for the aesthetic culture to go from the elite to the general public and from unitary to polybasic. Secondly, Modern aesthetic culture is a process of "disenchantment" as well as "re-enchantment". The old idols had been disappeared, the new idolatry and material worship appearred within the new cultural context, the heroes adored in the past become the modern panning experts, and the beautiful benchmark admired in the past become pop stars. Idols drop down to the reality from the primitive images of God, ghost, thunder and electricity, which include great significance to the general public. Finally, the development of modern technology refreshes a new era of aesthetic culture, the new technology brings new fashion and the new fashion brings new crisis.The second part of the thesis is to debate the crisis of mordenity and the dissimilation of mordenity idolatry and the crisis of totalitarianism. People’s pursuit of beauty is eternal from ancient time to modern time, and we should notice eternity from popularity and fashion. Secondly, the perfect personality of idols and the inflexion life which showed in screen is a beautiful world. In this world, the power of beauty make it to the best. Last but not the worst, the reason why modern idols can be idols is that they embody a lot of ideology, especially aesthetic awareness. They are the ideal beauty and benchmark of charm in people’s mind. People always view idols from inside and outside screen as the polymer of truth, goodness and beauty, because they stand for people’s pursuit of beauty in real life.In conclustion, all the people devoted so much love and hope to the idols, and pay close attention to their public or private behaviors, and take care of their values and aspires.
