Study On The Relationship Between The Environmental Values And The Recycling Behavior

Along with the progress of social technology and the rapid development of economy, when people are enjoying the wealth and convenience that social progress have brought to us, they have been frequently plagued by the environment problems, and environmental issues is getting more attention. In this background, paper review on recycling values and recycling behavior were done firstly and the analysis of the literature pertinent, and revised by the methods including expert consultation, factor analysis and efficient etc. The sample investigation was implemented by selecting the undergraduates of the universiies. The structure of recycling values, environmental knowledge, environmental Motivation and recycling behaviors of the undergraduates were identified, and the interaction and different on recycling values, environmental knowledge, environmental Motivation and recycling behaviors, with the faetors such as the area, sex, grade, professional etc, were Presented. Moreover, the relativity of environmental values, environmental knowledge, environmental Motivation and recycling behaviors were analyzed. Finally, the relative models of undergraduates’recycling values, environmental knowledge, environmental Motivation and Recycling behaviors were established by the Path analysis methods.The eonclusion shows:(1) The Environmental values—Recycling Behavior Questionnaire is of high reliability and fair validity.(2) The distinct difference on environmental values, knowledge, environmental motivation and recycling behaviors of undergraduates, with the faetors such as the area, sex, grade, professional etc, was existent. Interaction was available between some in dicators. (3) The difference of recycling behavior was existent in different undergraduates, and up-to-donw order is paper, metal, plastic, electronic products, glass and battery.(4) The distinct relativity was existent in the different factors of recovery values and environmental motivation. The positive relativity was existent between orientation, planning, action and persistence correlation of environmental motivation. The positive relativity was also existent between the orientation of environmental motivation with General values and NEP ecological world.(5) The general environmental values, recovery values,NEP ecological world and environmental motivation was to predict of the recycling behavior. The environmental motivation is a key factors. Only strong enough environmental motivation to increase environmental recycling behavior.(6) The solutions of Path analysis showed, the direct impact was existent in recycling value and recycling beavior, the indirect impact was existent in environmental motivation and recycling behavior. The environmental motivation was a "medium factors" in the impact of recycling behavior.
