The Sixth Patriarch Hui-Neng has been in the Chinese Buddhist Zen school has an irreplaceable position, the main reason, in addition to the that Hui-Neng is the master of Zen, he leaded to the famous "Sixth Patriarch revolution" in the religious history of Buddhism. Hui-Neng who the Sixth Patriarch of Zen is no longer to teach the mantle as the standard, but heart to heart; to teach the law of Buddhism is no longer a daily chanting Buddha and sitting in meditation, but the epiphany of the law; everyone has the Buddha nature, rather than a Buddhist is exclusive.Today, Zen is mentioned in the general sense is represented by the Sixth Patriarch for the Southern School, the paper refers to the the Patriarch of Southern School, Hui-Neng’s Aesthetic ideas is very significant. On this basis, the paper is divided into three parts, the first part of the Introduction describes the nature of Zen from Indian Buddhism to Chinese Buddhism, and describes the research status; the second part is divided into three chapters, one side is the impact of the metaphysics of Laozi and Zhuangzi on the Aesthetics of Zen, the other side is explaining Hui-Neng’s thought of "Conscience"、"Nature" and "epiphany". The third part is the conclusion, briefly describing the Impact of Hui-Neng’s Aesthetic thought and the reason of Hui-Neng’s irreplaceable status. The full paper uses a comparable way on the basis of Hui-Neng’s main argument in the Tanjing.Chinese aesthetics is the philosophy, which are inseparable, so the papers involved in the Zen philosophy and aesthetics are just for synonymous expressing.
