Dungan, which belongs to the China Hui, moved to Central Asia because of the war a hundred years ago, mainly living in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan today. With the growing popularity of Chinese language all over the world, the number of students from various countries for learning Chinese in China is also increasing. At the same time, there are more and more Dungan students came to China to learning Chinese. As we all know, second language learning is under the influence of learner’s mother tongue. So it will greatly enhance the effectiveness of a second language teaching by comparative analysis of the target language and mother tongue while analysis the learners’ error in the learning progress. Chinese phonetic teaching is also so. Dungan language, is a variant of Chinese, which is evolved from the dialect of Shaanxi and Gansu. So in this article, I wish to use research methods of comparative analysis and error analysis, based on foreign language teaching theory, while the starting point is the teaching of Chinese phonetic for people who study Chinese as second language and the end result is Chinese phonetic teaching for Dungan students. This article aimed at exploring how to teach Chinese phonetic efficient for Dungan students.
