The Southern Song Dynasty At The Beginning Of The Main Force To Rebuild A Number Of Studies

It was necessary to reconstruct the military power at the beginning of the Southern Song Dynasty. At the base of recruiting routed troops and gangsters and soldiers serving the emperor, the central government of the Southern Song Dynasty had began to reconstruct its military power and finally set up several military forces. However, the central government could not command them effectively. Therefore, the main aims of the reconstruction of military power were to take back the right of leadership of the military forces to the central government who would have the right to command all military force.The reconstruction of the military power of the Southern Song Dynasty was inseparable from its politics, economy, external relations and domestic public opinion. Any changes of these aspects would affect the process and effect of the military reconstruction.Because of the military defects, there were four events which happened continuously and influenced profoundly in the Southern Song Dynasty. They were Mingshou Coup,Huaixi Mutiny,the first Shaoxing doctrina and the recovery of right of the military forces.The central body of the Southern Song Dynasty became more and more mature to deal with these four crisis from totally passive to completly initiative gradually,showing the ability to control the army in the territory. When came to the issue of negotiating peace,most of the civilians opposed,same with the military commanders.However,the civilians were more worried about the reinforcement of the generals and afraid this would form a trend too cumbersome to be effective and threaten political stability,so that the group of Qin Hui was able to be singed a peace treaty with the Jin dynasty.The government of the Sourthern Song Dynasty had been focus on training the military foces that was controled by the central government since it was founded. The central mititary forces had been able to compete with the generals and became the protection to recover the right to command the military power until ShaoXing11years in1141AD when the central government recovered its right to the mititary power.The central decision-making level wanted to recover right of the military force all the time and eventually regained its right of the military force by the combined effect of the course of economy and war,domestic public opinion and the peace treaty with the Jin Dynasty,completing the task of the reconstruction of the central mititary force.
