Life Sketch

The aim of this essay is to shed some light on the significance of making quick sketch in real life. Based on rich experiences of voluntary teaching in YunNan province and quite a number of quick sketches made there, the author acquired his own mothod of making sketch. The basic academic training enables him to make sketch more expressive. Creatively applying ink and wash painting involves both practice of making quick sketch and practice of creative painting, which is a two-way practicing spirit. Real-life quick sketch is the way for artists to better understand reality, rediscover themselves and even uplif their souls. It also functions as the bridge between life experiences and artistic creation.
