From The Perspective Of Cognitive Linguistics Analyses Financial Metaphor Translation In English

With the rapid development of world economy and the boom of China’s foreign trade, the translation of financial English becomes increasingly important.In order to keep pace with the development of global economy, China must constantly learn experience and knowledge from foreign countries.The article Financial Crisis of 2007-2010 is a report of Wikipedia in late 2010. This article generally introduced the crisis, from the background of the crisis; to the reasons caused crisis; from the effects on global economy to the responses to financial crisis.The critical commentary includes four sections:Introduction, Metaphors in Financial English, the Translation of Metaphors in Financial English and Conclusion. The first section is introduction, in this section the recent research on financial English translation is stated; in the second section, the concept and forms of metaphor are introduced; in the third section, the translation methods are stated with examples from the translation of Financial Crisis of 2007-2010; the last section of the critical commentary is the conclusion, in this part the meaning of the research of the translation of metaphor in financial English is stated.
