For we people, names act as signs that distinguish us from others, and for a generation, theymark the distinctive cultural feature. What contained in names is extraordinarily rich, as thedevelopment and change of names is intimately related with our practical life. Therefore, it hasbecome imperative to understand the process of name development, analyze linguistic traits,conclude the method of naming and normalize standard. Particularly, since the presence ofanthroponomy, the personal name has one research focus. This paper, in terms of anthroponomy,on the data base created by61,185names of Hushan Town, Lanshan district, Rizhao, to doresearch.This paper is divided into five parts.In the first part, I introduce the definition of names, the development history of Chinesename research, the selected subject and the basic information of Hushan town in this paper.Secondly, I mainly analyze the phonetic rhetoric of personal names in Hushan Town in fourrespects, exactly, the condition of syllable rime based on two villages, the application of nametone based on one village, the summation among Hushan names, and the combination ofsyllable.For the third part, I focus on the figures of speech in the term of active rhetoric techniquesand list several types of figures of speech.In the forth part, I mainly summarize nine ways of naming from the view of culture.Then I generalize traits of diction and normalization in names in the fifth part.When it comes to the epilogue, I make conclusion for the whole paper, and point outshortcomings and difficulties we are confronted with.
