Hanshan Poems Of Nature Consciousness Research

As an outstanding poet in Chinese literature history, Hanshan, with an alternatename Hanshan Zi, is somehow overlooked. From" The May 4th Movement"of thevernacular movement since, academia of Hanshan and poetry research has mademany achievements.Nevertheless, this thesis makes a bold attempt to analyze thenatural consciousness in Han’s poetry, which is distinguished from other professionalproperty research. Natural consciousness, a cornerstone of his poetry thoughts andartistic features, runs throughout all his poetry of Han’s career. Han’s special affectionto nature interwoven with his experience and ideas is perfectly shown in his poetrywhich has become his own unique aesthetic style. The thesis will analyze from thefollowing five parts.Based on Han and his poetry, introduction mainly sets forth current situation onHan and his poetry study, the reason to choose this thesis topic, and innovation in thisthesis. Study on Han’s whole life, spread and influence of his poetry, thoughts andartistic achievement of his poetry are the main points of this part,As well as theresearch starting point and main innovation.The first chapter discusses connotation and formation of natural consciousness inHan’s poetry, then from the nature of lifeconsciousness, human consciousness andsense of freedom to summarize, at the same time introduce each of them respectively.As for origin of natural consciousness, there are three periods according to Han’s lifesuffering and ideology at that time for discussion.The second chapter, the core of this thesis, introduces embodiment of naturalconsciousness in Han’s poetry of which are extraordinary refined life consciousness,consciousness of harmony between man and nature, and consciousness of freedomfrom self-realization. Discussion takes impact of Confucianism and Buddhism intoconsideration and use specific poems to illustrate natural consciousness.The important third chapter mainly discusses effect of natural consciousness onaesthetic style of Han’s poetry. This part takes specific poems as an example to showaesthetic style in Han’s poetry which is fresh beauty of nature, harmonious beauty of ecology, mingled beauty of poetic imagery.The fourth chapter is the influence of Han’s poems in both domestic and overseas,and the realistic of Han’s poetry.In conclusion, study on natural consciousness in Han’s poetry not only givespeople a general understanding about Han’s life and his poems, but also providepeople a new profound way to analyze Han’s poems from natural aspect.
