Purpose:Depression as one of the complications of diabetes, is a serious threat to the physical and mental health of patients with diabetes, and foreign studies have reported the prevalence of type2diabetic with depressive state was21.8%-60.0%for the average person3to5times. China’s Jiangsu several hospital diabetes clinic survey showed that depression in patients with diabetes prevalence rate is50%, of which about4%is needed to treat. Dia be tic associated with depression is not easy to be satisfied with blood glucose control, the risk of microvascular and macrovascular complications may be higher than ordinary diabetics. This study aims to analysis diabetic with depressive state (whose main syndrome is disharmony between the liver and stomach、deficiency of the heart-yin) and diabetic non-depressed patients with endocrine hormone-related indicators, to study the inherent variability, to guide clinical.Methods:Self-Rating Depression Scale (Self-rating depression scale, SDS) investigation of Guang An Men Hospital of China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine from June2012to November2012with type2diabetes in hospitalized patients, then we get the cases whose depression index surveys SDS more than0.5, to do the next questionaire--"disharmony between the liver and stomach、 deficiency of the heart-yin main syndromes" questionnaire survey. Contains a total of disharmony between the liver and stomach、deficiency of the heart-yin main syndromes type diabetes mellitus patients with depression as the observation group, and randomly selected SDS depression index0.530patients with type2diabetes in non-depressed patients as a control group. Main outcome measures including three for adrenal function, thyroid function, sex hormone. Secondary outcomes include general information (age, marital status, education level, occupation, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, heart rate, duration of diabetes, medication, etc.), glycosylated hemoglobin (HbAlc), glucose tolerance test (OGTT), the release of insulin and c-peptide test, liver function, kidney function, blood lipids. And calculated based on the basis of these test indicators islet beta cell function index HOMA-beta, insulin resis tance index HOMA-IR, the area under the glucose area under the curve (GAUC), insulin area under the curve (IAUC), c-peptide curve (CAUC). Data entry using Microsoft Excel2007software, data reduction using Microsoft access2007software, data processing and analysis of data using PASW Statistics18.0statistical software. Sex, marital status, education, occupation, and treatment programs count data using the chi-square test; independent sample t-test was used on the rest of the measurement data. Results:Diabetic with depressive state group compared to the diabetic non-depressed group, three for adrenal function, aldosterone is increased (195.12±73.95比163.14±48.33pg/ml,P<0.05); cor ti sol and promote adrenaline tended to increase (13.55±5.63ratio of10.81±4.19ug/dl, P=0.099;34.84±24.61than26.59±15.51pg/mL=0.056). Sex hormone,follicle-stimulating hormone is increased (34.63±32.27than20.90±19.26mIU/ml, P<0.01), luteinizing hormone increase (12.09±10.40vs.8.72±5.94mIU/ml, P<0.01). Thyroid hormone free three-triiodothyronine is drop.(2.63±0.44than2.74±0.21pg/ml, P<0.05). The rest of the results statistically has no significant difference. The OGTT test group of diabetic patients with depressive state2h plasma glucose (17.42±4.89ratio of17.86±3.24mmol/L, P<0.05) lower secondary outcomes. The rest of the results statistically significant difference. Oh insulin in diabetic patients with depressive state group insulin release test,1h insulin tended to increase (92.20±59.84vs91.32±39.39pmol/L, P=0.074; and307.46±308.49218.46a±182.19pmol/L, P=0.068). HOMA-beta group of diabetic patients with depressive state tended to increase (129.29±197.37than92.33±88.19, P=0.089).Conclusion:diabetic with depression status (main syndrome is disharmony between the liver and stomach、deficiency of the heart-yin) there is dysfunction of the nervous, endocrine system, the performance of the hypothalamus-pituitaryadrenal axis hyperactivity (COR, ACTH have tended to increase); aldosterone increased; hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis dysfunction (free three triiodothyronine); hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis function abnormalities (follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone increases) as well as blood glucose, islet cell function changes. But the sample size is too small to be after the multi-center, large sample survey.
