Diabetic nephropathy is one of the most micro vascular complications. Because of lack of specifics, this disease progressed quickly, and hard to control. In some areas it is the main reason of dialysis. The causes of this disease, which most doctors and scientists are researching in are still not clear. Meanwhile there is no unanimous therapy of Chinese Medicine and the judge of their therapies usually lack of suppot according to Evidence-based medicine. My tutor considers that though many scholars realize that the syndromes of this disease is complex, and use different therapies in their formulas, we should analyse the pathogenesis of DN to choose a more directory Chinese Medical theorem, in order to make the formula more reasonable. Then he picks up the He Therapeutic Method of The Eight Methods, as the most suitable theorem. So according to my tutor’s presupposition, I looked up literatures about He Therapeutic Method and researches of Chinese Medicine syndromes in DN, then summarized and analyzed their viewpoints or results to discuss the connection between the He Therapeutic Method and pathogenesis of DN. On one hand, I retrospected the development of He Therapeutic Method and discussed its meaning. On the other hand, I summarized some literatures which focused on DN’s pathogenesis. At last I raised my opinion about the pathogenesis of DN. And I realized:1. He Therapeutic Method is related to coordinate balance and constructive idea in Chinese ancient philosophy as well as the concept of health. Then it was raised by ancient doctors, gradually developed its own conception and representative fomulars. But up to now, its conception and category remain unclear. The author considers He Therapeutic Method as a Therapeutic theorem which uses a relatively abirritant way to treat the contradictory syndromes caused by the fight of health and evil. The fight usually causes some normal functions which oppose each other also complement each other disordered. The adaptation syndromes have some characteristics such as both of the deficiency and excess syndromes are exist and opposite in property, meanwhile they impact each other, then cause Shu Ji disorders, and chronic.2.According to the opinions of doctors, after summerised the syndromes and clinical research results of DN. the author made the conclusion of the pathogenesis of DN is complex, coexist, opposite deficiency and excess syndrome influences each other and causes a vicious cycle. It also has below Characteristics. Firstly, whatever deficiency and excess, muti-syndrome is general, such as lack of Qi, blood, yin, yang, and appears of dampness, blood stasis, fire, bleeding and so on. Secondly, deficiency and excess syndromes impact each other. Thirdly, the fight between them causes disorder of Shu Ji. Fourth, the property of deficiency and excess syndromes usually be opposite, like lack of qi with hot.According to the research, author came to a summery that the pathogenesis of DN is deficiency and excess mixes, Shu Ji disorders, coincidence to the adaptation syndromes of He Therapeutic Method. So we should treat DN with guidance of He Therapeutic Method. Not only should we treat the deficiency and excess, or hot and cold, but also adjust their connection and renew the qi ji.
