The cell fusion technique is widely used in the research field of genetics, cytology, virology, immunology and other disciplines. It is increasingly becoming an important means in the biomedical R&D work. In a variety of fusion technology, electroporation fusion technology has a most market prospect. The paper is based on the experience of the previous cell electro fusion experiment, and the biophysical theoretical support. Combined with the latest development of electronic technology, we get the overall design of the instrument. In the design of the instrument, comparing the microcontroller core with the programmable logic devices (FPGAs) as the core pulse control unit design, we establish the design of the FPGA as the core of the pulse control unit, in which we join the Nios II soft-core in the SOPC system design. Comparing the optocoupler with the ferrite transformer, the POWER MOSFET’s driver design was used for the pulse signal transmission apparatus and amplification circuit, which is based on optocoupler for electrical isolation device. Because of the high voltage part, the instrument was added the design of the security module for the safety of the operator of the instrument. For the normal operation of the instrument, we also add the design of the power supply module. After test and validation, the instrument can accurately produce an output pulse. The pulse width is1to300μS that error is less0.15μS, and the output voltage can reach312V. The initial instrument design requirements is met and the biophysical requirements are complied with.
