Two Kinds Of Methods In The Treatment Of 57 Cases Of External Ankle Fracture Curative Effect Observation

Objective:To find a method providing a clinical reference, we analyzed and compared the clinical efficacy and follow-up results of57cases who were internal or external malleolus fractures, which was adopted traditional manual reduction splint external fixation and surgical incision reduction and internal fixation.Methods:The patients were analyzed with internal or external malleolus fractures of57cases, who come from Chengdu University of TCM Hospital orthopedic and Sichuan Orthopedic Hospital from October2010to September2011. These cases were divided into two teams.One team of them were composed with28cases, of which were treated by traditional manual reduction splint external fixation. The other were29cases, whom were treated by surgical incision reduction and internal fixation. We followed-up recorded and compared the cost of treatment、the fracture healing time, and ankle function, etc.All data weve done analysis of spss19.0softwareResults:None of patient was dead, followed-up9to12months, the average9.54±1.47months. We assessed the function of the two groups according to the Baird-Jackson ankle evaluation classification system standard. type of supination-abduction P>0.05, type of supination-external rotation P<0.05, type of pronation-abduct ion P>0.05, which means that supination-abduction and pronation-abduct ion are not statistically significant. Otherwise supination-external rotation are difference of statistical significance. For this reason, it’s hard to get the anatomic reduction used tact reposition for the serious malleolus medialis fracture.And Postoperative easy to form fracture healing deformity and traumatic arthritis. Postoperative ankle function is poorer. Serious malleolus and lateral malleolus fractures which used the diaplasis of operation incision can get anatomic reduction and stable internal fixation. Compared the cost of treatment the fracture healing time the two groups were Statistically Significant (P<0.05). The group of manual reduction and external fixation with small splints has costs less than the small splint incision reset internal fixation group, group treatment, fracture healing time is short.Conclusion:The characteristic of manual reduction and external fixation with small splints is less costs shorter healing time、less injury、less complications.For this reason, the best treatment is both internal and external treatment bones.For the type of supination-abduction, the type of pronation-abduction, we used Manipulative reduction and external fixation in a small plywood, for the type of supination-external rotation, we used Surgery with open reduction and internal fixation.
