Patients With Colon Polyps And Yang (gas) Number Of Immune System And Endocrine Indexes Of Evaluation

Objective:To observe and discuss about the clinical significance of the changes of immunological and endocrinological indexes of patients with colon polypus and Yang Qi-deficiency.Methods:From Jan,2011to Mar,2012, in TCM and Endoscope Departments at the General Hospital of Shenyang Military Area Command. Two groups:One group is composed of198patients with colon polypus examined via colonoscopy(except familial polyposis and P-J syndrome),101patients are Yang and Qi-deficiency;The control group is composed of44no-colon polypus patients. Venous blood was taken from both group patients in the morning when their stomach was empty. To examine immunological indexes①serum immunoglobulins (IgM、IgG、IgA);②complements (C3、 C4);③T-cells (CD3+、CD3+/CD4+、CD3+/CD8+、CD4:CD8); endocrinological indexes:①24h urine17-KS、17-OHCS、VMA;②thyroid hormone FT3. To compare the average level of the above indexes and analyze the difference between polypus patients from different age segments.Results:1. The group of colon polypus’ results of C3、17-KS, compared to control group，are obviously lower with statistical significance(P<0.05).2. The group of colon polyps’results of other immune indexes:IgG、IgM、 IgA、CD3+/CD4+and endocrine index FT3、VMA, are averagely lower compared to control group, no statistical significance difference (P>0.05).3. The male patients(55person/82.09%)are above48years old,the female patients(30person/88.24%)are above42years old. The difference between patients with colon polyps from age segments are with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:The colon polypus are common among middle and old aged people. The study shows that there is a decline tendency in some immunological and endocrinological indexes of patients with Yang-Qi deficiency. It suggests that the occurrence of colon polypus is related with the yang deficiency or imbalance of yin-yang and the functional disorder of immunological and endocrinological systems.
