[Objective] To investigate the relevance between the level of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and the inflammation of peri-implant tissue. Comparing the concentration of VEGF in peri-implant sulcular fluid and relatinship with clinical indicators in different periodontal conditions. To determine whether VEGF is a secondary indicator of peri-implant inflammation active. To provide a theoretical basis to establish VEGF s continued into the inflamed tissue as peri-implant Inflammatory response ingredient.[Methods] Follow-up of30patients with columnar two-stage implant surgery completed XIVE system repair in the Department of Prosthodonticsthe of the First Clinical Medical School of Shanxi Medical University by April2011, including40cases of dental implant and40cases of natural teeth. According to the peri-implant tissue conditions(probing depth, sulctts bleeding index),30cases of patients with peri-implant repair were divided into healthy peri-implant group(28cases) and inflammatory peri-implant group(12cases) and taken this two groups as the experimental group, then taken the healthy natural teeth people(40cases) as the control group. Using the homemade2mm×20mm Whatman3filter strips of unified specification. Collection peri-implant sulcular fluid and gingival crevicular fluid. The clinical indicators and the concentration of VEGF in peri-implant sulcular fluid of the two groups were detected by the method of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.(ELISA)[Result]①The VEGF concentration, clinical indicators and peri-implant sulcular fluid volume of inflammatory peri-implant group were higher than those of the healthy peri-implant group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05)②The VEGF concentration, clinical indicators and peri-implant sulcular fluid volume of healthy peri-implant group were higher than those of the control group. The differences were statistically significant (P<0.05)③The concentration of VEGF in peri-implant sulcular fluid and peri-implant sulcular fluid volume were significantly associated with the clinical indicators of the experimental group.[Conclusion] Conclusion increase of peri-implant sulcular fluid volume and VEGF concentration of peri-implant sulcular fluid can reflect the health status of peri-implant tissue. VEGF can be taken as the biomarker to evaluate the progress of peri-implant inflammation...
