Abdominal Needle Clinical Observation For The Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Insulin Resistance

BackgroundDiabetes is a chronic and a complex disease, harmful to human health.The clinical research shows that insulin resistance(IR)have widely existed in type2diabetes patients. Improving IR is the key to lower the blood sugar.Recently, the academic circles are paying more attention to the harmfulness of IR. It is not only the pathogeny of type2diabetes, it is the main pathology cause of Metabolic Syndrome(including hyperinsulinemia,IGT Impaired glucose tolerance,obesity,hypertension and Stein-Leventhal Syndrome).IR is the risk factor of macroangiopathy (coronary heart disease,cerebrovascular disease).Improving the sensitiveness of insulin and decreaseing IR have become the main methods in prevention and treatment toward type2diabetes and its complications.ObjectiveTo observe the curative effect through abdominal acupuncture toward type2diabetes patients with insulin resistance, and to further explore and discuss the curative effect and the role of abdominal acupuncture within this disease.Method1.Observed9cases with type2diabetic patients with insulin resistance,all cases are to be self-controled. Patients are to be proceeded with abdominal acupuncture treatment while maintaining the original amount of drugs. The specific acupoint selections are as follow: mainacupoints:yinqiguiyuan(zhongwan,xiawan,qihai,guanyuan)tianshu,daheng,huaroumen,ri ght qixue, left shangqu. Leaving the needle for30minutes,3treaments in a week,18times in lcourse of treatment,which equals to6weeks.After one course of treatment,observe indicators measured2.Monitoring indicators:Oral Glucose Tolerance Test(OGTT), Insulin Release Test、C Peptide Release Test. Statistical analysis:The SPSS17.0statistical software to conduct statistical analysis using t test before and after treatment,with count data (x±S)ndicated.After the treatment, blood glucose and C-P level have decreased significantly (P<0.01). And increased in insulin release level (P<0.01).This showed that abdominal acupuncture have effectively improved the condition of patients with insulin resistance.Conclusion:Through Abdominal Acupuncture treatment,blood glucose and C-P have been decreased to a normal range, insulin have been adjusted to a normal range.Also,effective intervention to metabolic disorders in type2diabetes patients with insulin resistance and effectively improve on the curative effect in patients in the state of IR.
