| Objective:To study the influence of f-wave form in converting atrial fibrillation(AF)with Ibutilide.Methods:56AF patients, according to the effectiveness of Ibutilide for conversion, were categorized into conversed group andunconversed group. Both were measured for the mean value of amplitude and duration of F waves and underwent a statistical analysis. Results:Among the56AF cases,38recovered successfully with ibutilide, and18failed. The mean value of am-plitude in conversed group and unconversed group were0.54±0.46mvand O.70±0.6lmv respectively, which showed nosignificant statistical difference. The mean value of duration of f waves in conversed group and unconversed group were96ms±40ms and68ms±42ms, in which there was significant statistical difference between them. Conclusions The duration of f waves do have effect on the effective rate of converting AF with Ibutilide and the amplitude of f waves do not. |
