| Objective:To observe the efficacy and safety of ibutilide for cardioversion of atrial fibrillation(AF) and atrial flutter(AFL) to sinus rhythm.Methods:A total of 220 patients with AF/AFL duration less than 90 days were enrolled in this study, All patients were treated with ibutilide to analyze the efficacy and safety. Results:AF were converted in 86 of 180 paients(47.8%) and in 31 of 40 patients(77.5%) in AFL group. AFL had a significantly fast converting time than AF group(50.12±24.37 min VS 68.12±22.37min). The rate of side-effects in AF/AFL group was 32.7%. Conclusion:The rate of conversion for AF is higher,the rate of conversion for AFL is lower,and the rate of side-effects is not rare. |
