| Soil is a renewable nature resource, it possesses cycle function of substance andenergy and it is a valuable resource for human socio-economic activities and survival.Salinization of the land causes barren land and environmental degradation, it pose aserious threat to the survival and development of human society. The importance of landsalinization has become the consensus of the world. The area is located in the northern farming and pastoral transition zone, the basis ofthe ecological environment is fragile. Since the1950s, the area has made a hugesocio-economic progress, population growed fast. However, due to the policy wasunreasonable, agricultural production conditions draggled, the irrigation project was notcomplete, reclamation and grazing was excessive, resulting in the water, soil, biologicaland other natural resources was over utilized. It greatly damaged the ecological balanceof resources in the area, leading to the rapid development of land salinization andgrassland salinization, land productivity declined and grassland degraded. This study has learned the basis of previous experience, made a combination ofremote sensing and geographic information technologies. ENVI and ERDAS RemoteSensing Information Analysis Software was used. MODIS imagery was used as remotesensing data sources, combined with regional data, monitored land salinization dynamicchange and control over its distribution and temporal variation. While taking advantageof the Markov model for its development trend forecasting, predicting the salinizationof the land for further development of the area, providing a reliable basis for thecomprehensive utilization of resources and prevention of salinization of land, servicingfor the protection of regional economic and ecological environment development. |
