In this paper, we developed a fire-new method of shear strengthening with CFRP to avoid debonding at the end of CFRP sheets. Through the tests of 7 RC beams simulating the shear strengthening of simple beams and continuous beams, we validated the practicability of this new method. The main works and achievements are as follows:1.The results showed that anchor by wraping CFRP around bars can effectively avoid debonding at the end of CFRP sheets, significantly increase the ultimate shear capacity and deformation property of reinforced structures.2.Through this experiment, some factors to failure modes and structural behaviors were studied, including CFRP effective anchor height and fiber amount and distribution.3.CFRP effective strain was analyzed, and the formula for estimating the ultimate shear capacity was put forward. Compared with test results available, the proposed equations gave good agreement. |
