This thesis is based on an developing project "Optimization design on the five-arm concrete pump truck boom " which is studied by a large company in Yangzhou. Currently, this company is on the basic phrase of the study on the development of the concrete pump truck boom. The main research method is based on CAD while CAE is secondary. But it lacks the effective research theory on the dynamic analysis and optimization. In the movement process of concrete pump truck boom, the force on connection points is hard to accurately measure through the traditional method and the gesture of the boom under the max. Load is also hard to be found out. Optimizating the coordinate of the cylinder connection points is also weak. In order to solve these problems, this thesis puts forward a solution of finding out the max.load on cylinders and optimizating the coordinate of the cylinder connection points.This paper analyzes the boom which works under the max load using kinematics and dynamic method and draws the function relation between the angle of the two booms and the run length of cylinder and also draws the function relation between the force of cylinders and the length of each connection point. According to the demands of optimization design of concrete pump truck boom, this paper setup a multi-body dynamic parametric simulation model by using ADAMS software. By simulating the model under a certain dangerous case, it obtains the rules of force on different connection points in boom system and the max load on each joint, which provides the theoretical basis for structural design of every part in boom system. Compared with common research methods, this paper analyzed the max.load on the five cylinders with different methods. The maximum load curves of each cylinder can be got by using different study methods on the five cylinders which were separated into three groups. Taking the max.load on each cylinder as the objection function and the coordinate of the cylinder connection points as the design variable parameter, this paper get the optimization position of each joint under the boundary constrained by the coordinate value of the joints.This thesis gets the change rule of the force on each connection point and the max.load on cylinders by using the dynamic analysis method for boom system. By analyzing the five booms, this dissertation finds out the gesture of the boom under the max.load in the case of avoiding interference, and also obtains the max.load on cylinders and the value of design variable in the condition. By optimizing the coordinate of the cylinder connection point, this dissertation obtains the optimization position which can reduce the max.load on cylinders effectively and this can provide a theoretical support for the design of connection point position.
