In the present construction, the truck mounted concrete pump has become indispensable construction equipment for modern urban architecture, especially in the construction of high-rise buildings, elevated highways, bridges, dams and underground. Truck mounted concrete pump with its mobile, flexible, efficient features, has become important and indispensable construction equipment. However, due to the work environment is complex for truck mounted concrete pump, the boom mechanism is a multi-redundancy mechanism, manual operation requires a high level skilled operator, and intensive labor. With the improvement of construction automation, in order to reduce the cost and the operator labor intensity and improve the working condition of worker at the same time, the intelligent concrete boom control technology already become hot research topic, it is more and more practicability as a core technology.By through the study of boom kinematic analysis of truck mounted concrete pump, modeling, motion simulation, boom movement path design, and according to the characteristics of the boom movement, the principles and objectives of the intelligent boom control system design was proposed by this paper. Furthermore, the specific electrical schematic design, the connection structure, boom control system overall design and intelligent boom control feasibility proposal was disclosed within this paper by analyzed the specific requirements of boom control system in the aspects of control components, actuators, signal transmission and etc. and also the boom control process was analyzed. The previous disclosed intelligent boom control scheme was aim to control the boom end as the ultimate objective, the boom end movement precise control was achieved by collecting the real-time feedback about the various arm angles, then the collected signal was optimized by the Computational controller, and then the travel of each boom oil cylinder could be precisely controlled.Through a long time simulation and verification, the boom could be precisely controlled under the intelligent mode; also the boom could perform the work under each regular working condition, which showed great engineering application.
