Yellow River Diversion Irrigation System Desilting Structures Contrast Analysis

Water resources, as the source of life, is not only a necessary material foundation for the mankind survival and society development, an indispensable and basic natural resource and a strategic economic resources, but also the important guarantee of sustainable development.Because the contradiction between supply and demand of water resources in Shandong province become increasingly serious these years, the Project of Transferring Water from Yellow River in Jiaodong Region was built. It will realize optimal allocation of water resources in Shandong Province and will ease water supply contradiction in Shandong province.This paper analyzed the necessity and feasibility of awareness of the Project of Transferring Water from Yellow River in Jiaodong Region. On the basis of literature review of related researches domestic and abroad, the methods and theories are summaried. According to previous methods and similar projects, specific recommendations for diversion schemes and the main diversion desilting works, the main contents and results are as follows:(1) Based on the study background of transferring water projects, the paper points out the meaning of the study, and summarizes the history and current status of the theories.(2) Analysis of the water supply area of the Project of Transferring Water from Yellow River in Jiaodong Region and the characteristics of hydrology and water resources.(3) new desilting methods are carried out through analyzing exsiting problem of the Project of Transferring Water from Yellow River in Jiaodong Region.
