City Square Design Research As A Whole

This paper introduces the concept of the overall design to square field, integral design of square is researched in the background of new culture and the view of "live slowly". Theory and method are put forward. The square of Xi’an are the example.The paper put forward that the overall design has a double meaning:How the " part " to form the " whole " and how the " part" to develop. Square shape design undertake the principle views, which is put forward by square planning, to further clarify the square theme positioning, space visual order, scale, and then directly supervise the square building design and landscape design. We should pay attention to communication space、culture value、the coordination of architecture style, and the diversification of architecture function、building height echo square scale.
