ABS (Anti-locked braking system), using the electronic control technology on the basis of traditional braking system, is a kind of Mechanical&Electrical Integration system that can prevent the wheels from being locked during the braking and one of the important application areas of automotive active safety technology. The motor of the ABS backflow pump is the key part of ABS hydraulic control unit. During the period of braking, its working condition can direct influence on the boost and decompression property of the braking cylinder, applying the pulse width modulation technology to control the duty cycle of the backflow pump motor, researching the change of pressure in the braking cylinder caused by motor’s duty cycle.This paper deeply analysis the principle and inner structure of ABS, established the mathematic models of the mono-wheel, entire car, ABS hydraulic brake system and its main components basing on the ABS research of home and abroad; Using AMESim hydraulic simulation software to establish the motor controlled and uncontrolled hydraulic system models according to ABS hydraulic system configuration scheme and do the simulation analysis to them, researching the influence of the duty cycle of the motor and the PWM controlled period on the pressure of brake cylinder when the duty cycle controlled under different controlled period. ABS hydraulic system model is composed of solenoid valves, backflow pump motor, accumulators, hydraulic pressure tubes, braking cylinders and etc. Using ABS hydraulic mixed simulation test bench does the comparative experiment about the influence of ABS brake cylinder pressure under motor controlled and uncontrolled conditions. Through comparing the experiment result with the outcome of the ABS established hydraulic system model verified the accuracy and reliability of the ABS hydraulic system model and its parameters. Meanwhile put forward the motor control strategy according to the simulation analysis and test result. In order to further investigate the influence of the backflow pump motor on the ABS system and improve the comprehensive properties of ABS, this paper make the research on the noise problem of the motor and analyzed the influence of the duty cycle on the noise of the motor.The above researches provide the experimental and theoretical foundation for the motor control of ABS backflow pump, also laid the foundation for establishing the accurate model and accurately estimating the pressure in the braking cylinder, and also provided important experimental basis for the noise research of the ABS backflow pump motor.
