Electronic universal material testing machine is the testing and loading platform fo measuring material performance, and the facility that measure the mechanics performance process performance and structural strength of material, its performance represent th technology level of the material laboratory. The performance of the material testing machin mainly depends on the testing machine and its control system. This paper mainly focus o developing a control system for material testing machine that made in Jiang Su pearl testin machine Co., LTD. which can meet the prescribed performance target. As the rapi development of the electronic technology and the computer science, automation technology i also changing day by day. Many new control methods come along with them, like single-chi microcomputer control technology, PLC control technology and microcomputer contrc technology and so on, this provide good foundation for the research of control system of th material testing machine. This paper adopts the microcomputer control based on control card to realize it according to the control requirements.At present, many control systems adopt traditional PID control to realize control, thi control way has simple structure and good control effect to linear control objects. But the PII control parameters cannot adjust by itself. The control effect isn’t ideal when it meets som nonlinear factors, so research new control methods have important meaning for the developin of testing machine. In this paper, discussed the feasibility of combining the neural network thA can study by itself and digital PID control, using neural network to adjust the parameten according to controlled object, which called the neural network PID control, in order to improv the precision and satisfy the developing trend of the material testing machine.This paper studied the hardware realization of single-neuron PID control system, th structural designing of single-neuron PID controller and its control algorithm. At the same time using VC++6.0to realize the software programming, this software has friendly interface an easy operation advantages. This paper realized the feedback control that based on the neun network PID of the universal material testing machine preliminarily, the data acquisition an motion control experiment proved this control scheme is feasible.
