With the development of economy, the scale and complexity of power grid is escalating, whick make the involved technical and management problems become more apparent.The key to solve these problems is the intelligent grid.The implemention of intelligent network must be built on the basic of efficient and reliable electric power communication network.In the current, power line carrier becomes the main means of communication in middle and high voltage power grid because of its unique features.The middle and high voltage power line carrier communication involves many aspects, mainly related to the operation of power line carrier channel and power line carrier equipment.The operating environment of middle and high voltage grid has a certain complexity, which causes lots of interference to the normal operation of power line carrier communication.So, how to improve the current grid carrier communication conditions, is significant to the security and stability of power grid.For this purpose,we launched the present work.The main research work and innovative covers the following aspects:1, This paper explaines the background, purpose and significance of this research project and analyzes the development of smart grid and communicaton-related technologies and applications in middle and high-voltage power line carrier. It also analyzes the importance of testing the situation of the power line carrier channels, based on which the targets to be achieved are raised.2、Against the drawbacks of the traditional carrier channel test system, this paper design and realize the automatic answering mixed carrier channel test system, and the simulation and field tests show that the system can improve the efficiency and accuracy of the carrier channel test.3、For a better understanding of current line carrier equipment installation, automatic answering mixed carrier channel test system is expanded to achieve a multi-protocol detection of line carrier equipment installation.The simulation shows that the function has achieved a good detection results.4、Against the phenomenon that the communication situation of power line carrier equipment is poor,this paper raises a way to improve equipment adaptive ability to run the program.At the same time, based on the characteristics of power line carrier equipment communication, this paper also raises a program to make line carrier equipments become a network.
