SAKO KEIICHIRO, as a architect of the new generation in the21st century, produced many worksand ideas that showed the impact of post-modernism. He expressed concern about the community, aboutthe relationship between architecture and society, and that between architecture and nature. Combiningthinking and designing through practicing, he explored the inner meaning of architecture with his insight.This paper, targeting on SAKO KEIICHIRO and works, firstly elaborated the design style, thedevelopment and change process of his design ideas, in which we can understand the thoughts and echoesof Keiichiro on the relationship among architecture, society, economy, nature. He emphasizes the formswith the strong visual sense styles with nature. Secondly, through the analysis of the use of materials thebuilding and space and the construction form, the paper embodied the active attempt of SAKOKeiichiro in various new means of expression, thoughts of architecture’s inherent sociality, and found outthe new meaning of the construction in the new era.SAKO KEIICHIRO’s design and thoughts has gradually formed and perfected. As a young architect,his practice and his exploration of construction played a very important guiding role, therefore, to studyits ideological change and ideas formed in the course of building has practical significance on the currentthinking.
