Six-port technology occupies an important position in microwave measurement field. It can be used to extract various characteristic parameters for network, such as power, attenuation, phase, and S-parameters. The measurement has high accurate results. Recently it has developed in wireless communication field. The receiver based on six-port junction becomes one of hot topics.Although six-port junction has many different circuit structures, it usually consists of some passive devices, including in-phase power dividers and3dB directional couples. These device units determine the performance of the whole six-port circuit. In order to overcome these above problems, this dissertation focuses on the development of devices. The structure of broadband power dividers and couplers are discussed, and the devices are designed and manufactured. The main research is as follows:1. The structure of Wilkinson power divider is analyzed by even and odd mode method. The design scheme of multi-section Wilkinson power divider is elaborated. The broadband (2-8GHz) power divider is manufactured, and the size is reduced by reconfiguration. According to the test, the power divider has excellent performance.2. The configuration of offset coupled stripline is researched. Using multi-section type, the ultra wide band10dB directional coupler is designed and manufactured, which has excellent performance in2-18GHz frequency range in the test.3. Based on offset coupled stripline, the scheme of crossed tandem coupling is presented. To achieve3dB directional coupler, two couplers with weaker coupling (8.34dB) are cascaded in tandem. The3dB directional coupler is a900hybrid junction, which has excellent performance in2-18GHz frequency band.4. The six-port junction is integrated by broadband power divider and hybrid junction prefabricated. The characteristic parameters are measured and discussed.Finally, to achieve higher level of integration and excellent circuit performance, the next optimization scheme is presented.
