| 125I is the isotope of I, it’s a radionuclide.125I source is through physical adsorptionof125I on silver stick and then seal the125I particles into a titanium tube(0.8mm*5.5mm) which use for the treatment of tumor, its radioactivity is between0.5mCi-0.9mCi. Percutaneous implanted125I source is a kind of advanced radiationtherapy method in vivo, usually all part’s of the body’s tumors can be treated by125Isource, especially to prostate cancer, lung cancer and pancreatic cancer, brain tumor,liver cancer and so on. It has the advantage of safe, reliable, rapid, simple, etc.Because the isotope has certain radioactive, in the production process of the sourcewill cause some harm to human’s body. The automation equipment of filling125Iparticles is developed to improve the125I source’s filling level of automation for Istituteof Nuclear Physics&Chemistry of CAEP. The equipment is installed in theanti-radiation room, can fulfill filling125I particles into the titanium tube, soldering andthen take out the titanium tube. The workers operate the automation equipment in theanti-radiation room by a transfer arm in order to prevent the radiation. The automationequipment consists of four stations: clamping the titanium tube, filling125I particles,soldering and taking out the titanium tube. It consists of workbench, titanium tubechuck, moving modules of titanium tube chuck, the mechanism for clamping thetitanium tube, filling125I particles, soldering, reclaimer and so on. Then we shouldselect the appropriate hardware drivers and sensors, on the basis of the processingcomplete assembly of the entire system. Each module and agencies through the controlof the computer control system auto-complete filling the source.The device is a good expression of the automation technology used in the medicaljob. This text completed the automation equipment of filling125I particles mechanicaldesign, processing and software design. Now the device had run on the production, andit been admitted by users. |
