Our country’s economy is in high speed development stage, the demand for energy is growing day by day, sustainable development become the hot topic. People desperately want to apply new technology to saving energy and environmental protection, the lighting power also put forward higher request. LED because its energy saving, environmental protection, high efficiency, long life, and many other advantages are leading the revolution in the field of lighting. But LED drives are still some inherent problems, which restrict the development of the LED. Such as LED driving circuit is complexly, the size of driving circuit is too large, power factor is too low, drives cost are much higher, and so on. This is greatly reducing the market competitiveness of LED lighting and made less groups want to buy, this is also the key problem of limit LED development and popularization.This paper through research LED drives, design a kind of structure based on the special SEPIC LED drive, which can be directly use in the exchange utility, its periphery circuit is simple, small size, high power factor and low cost. Through building periphery circuit verified the feasibility and superiority of propose design, circuit power factor can reach to0.958.The main work of this paper content as follows:1. Research the structure of traditional LED drive chip, design and building the peripheral circuit, realize function of AC-DC LED drive circuit based on SEPIC structure.2. Based on traditional drive chip, proposed the optimizing structure of chip, through get rid of unnecessary function and integrated part of the circuit to internal peripheral chip, ensure the function is perfect premise that drive chip pin number at least as much as possible, and realize the most simplified.3. This proposed chips mainly include:Band Gap Benchmark Source, Gain Converter, Oscillator, Drive Circuit, Enable Module, Thermal protection, Over-voltage Protection, Over-current Protection.4. The characteristics of whole LED drive circuit are simulated, and reach the expectations. 5. Cooperate with improved drive chip, building the peripheral circuit, to validate the feasibility of the design and the superiority, in line with expectations.
